Unhappy water pump leak

pulling out of parking spot at work, a three inch round puddle in front...

probably a water pump seal, right?

looking around, not the heads

? is will his be a total failure, or do I have some time for repairs ?

thanks for any input... thanks

so long as it isn't dumping out you should be ok for a couple days but I wouldn't do any extra driving and keep an eye on the coolant level. but more than likely it is the seals between the water pump and the block. probably will take the average shade tree mechanic 1.5-2.5 hours to replace. I know GM warrenty pays me 1.5 to hours(I think) to replace

you should be ok for a little while. my waterpump was leaking for a couple weeks prior to my taking it off the road and fixing it this winter. mine never left any puddles that I saw (wood floor in garage on second floor where the hawk stays) but it was running down the front of the block and hanging off the k member. you should be ok for a little bit unless it really lets loose.

Also most things only leak between cold and hot temps. They might not leak hot or cold just in that temp in between.
