cruising in 6th is loud
well I went back to stock muffler because I needed it quiet for a trip,
anyway, I find it to be pretty loud,
at 75mph in 6 th gear I get 91 decibel
almost as loud as my old GMMG at that rpm
only thing that I could thing would be the lid and free ram air mod drilling thing.
would that have made the exhaust louder?
unless its some kind of leak or drivetrain noise.
anyway, what do you guys thing ?
thanks

If the stock exhaust is almost as bad as a GMMG, you probably do have a leak somewhere in the muffler or somewhere before. It's just a matter of crawling under there with the car running and up on jack stands and feeling around for air leaks.
My car drones enough from 75-80 in 6th where it does get annoying after awhile, but everywhere else it's fine.

I have cats, and one of my guess was that the cats might have burned making it louder,
it really does sound loud around 75, so I ll check for an exhaust leak,
between the flowtech cut out and the flanged muffler ( made adaptable so I can change muffler whenever I feel like )
so if that an exhaust leak its either at the cut-out or at the muffler flanges, unless the previous mechanic guy did not reweld the i pipe correctly
thanks I ll keep it updated
have a good one
