Default welding opening in throttlebody???

I am getting ready to port my throttle body and i see that most people use a metal filler to fill in the opening but i was wondering if it would be ok to weld in the opeing? this would be such a clean port and polish if i could do this... thanks, chase

If you have the resources and skill to weld aluminum, I'd say go for it.

A few porters stopped filling in the holes all together.Other than looks, which know one sees anyway,it really doesnt make a difference.
