how hard is it to put 3 inch collectors on macs?

how hard is it to put 3 inch collectors on macs? or basically make it where i can bold up the pipe and muffler on each side.. wanting to do this cheap...
pics or anything of the sort is appreciated.. if its not really that feasible then i will just order longtubes...
