Exhaust wrap
I'm not too sure on how to wrap exhaust piping. Does this sound right...just wrap the piping, secure the exhaust wrap, then spray the high silicon spray?
I want to wrap the piping between my longtube headers Iheaders already ceramic coated) and the muffler on my 94 RX7. I'm having heat problem on my trans tunnel.
Any thing I should know about before I do this?
Thanks in advanve guys!

yeah this has been discussed a few times.
basicly if its mild steel it may not hold up to the increase in temperature that the wrap would hold in, but this applies more to header primaries.
it also traps in moisture which promotes corrosion
and lastly it will absorb and engine fluids (oil, trans fluid) and very likely catch fire.
i reccomend getting it ceramic coated. a simple black ceramic coating is innexpensive, and will do the trick perfectly

You could also address your heat issues by fastening a sheild to the floor or to pipes.
As mentioned above, there are some drawbacks to using the wrap.
Take a look on Summit. They sell quite a few products that might give you some ideas.
