Egr Issue !!
I've been told that I need to replace my EGR with a new one,I went to buy one ,but they don't have.....As i read here, Many people remove it ..If that works i'm gonna do it instead of buying a new one !! what do you suggest ??
Does defective egr cause black smoke ?? if not !! what causes that smoke ?
What benefits I get from removing it ??

Get rid of it. Looks much better without it. Oh, one benefit Im sure of - when I got rid of mine, I used to have a nice backfiring sound if I even remotely revved it past say, 2K on a fresh start. Once I took the EGR out, it was gone. Could have been the AIR system too, but if you ditch your EGR, ditch your AIR too 8P heh.

Make a blockoff plate for the exhaust and put a 1-3/8" adjustable freeze plug in the manifold to seal it off. You will get the SES light, but you can go have it tuned out at a shop for cheap (cheaper than buying a new one)
While you're there, get them to tune out the AIR and rear O2's. You can probably sell your O2 sims if you have them and pay for the deletion work.
