Default X pipe setup

does anyone have an x-pipe setup with flowmaster 40 series mufflers all the way out the back over or under the axle? which setup is best over or under? any feedback is greatly appreciated thanks!

I haven't personally seen anyone with the 40 series. Just the 10 series one chamber race mufflers. Those are what I had on my '02 Z. Over the axle is the better way to go, because with the under axle setup, you have to be careful when putting the car on a lift if you don't incorporate a way to remove the rear section. However, over the axle will cost ya some $$.

2 40 series mufflers would be hard to fit. The mufflers pictured above are the "10 series" or "single chamber" or "1 chamber" flowmasters. They are louder, meaner, and fit into tight spaces easier.

I have under the axle duals which used to be TSP duals dumped at the axle. I had an exhaust shop extend them to run out the rear and have been happy with them since. I have some 3-bolt flanges holding on the tail section in case I need to put the car on a 2-post lift or drop the rear end.
