Default ASP and power problem

Ever since I got my ASP pulley a year or so ago I've had low voltage at idle and my headlights flicker/undulate. You can actually see the headlights sort of reduce in power over and over. Also my turn signal slows down when I come to a corner as my rpm's drop. Is there any way to correct this. It isn't bad, but it is a little annoying. On long drives at night you begin to feel like yer lookin at a strobe light on the highway. I was under the impression that you had to put on the alternator pulley to jack with the power in the car. I'm running only the underdrive. Suggestions?

The underdrive crank pulley slows all accessories. They sell an overdrive alternator pulley which should fix your problem and you will still retain the hp advantage of the crank pulley.

A higher CCA battery will really help this problem without sacrifice of hp. You can also up your idle to eliminate the problem.

I assume you have an automatic. The 6 speeds idle a little faster than the auto's and don't have this problem. If you have a loose converter you can up your idle and it won't pull but slightly harder in gear. This is what I did to mine. It charges fine even with the undedrive alternator pulley at idle.

Get the overdrive pulley. It will clear up all the charging problems without messing with the idle or givving up any noticable (if any) HP.

i did the crank pulley only on my car and never had any charging issues at all <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

i was told the alt pulley was the one that killed the voltage?

btw, mines a A4 with a little 150watt amp also <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am planning on buying pulleys for my car. I do not want to come back on here like other people and ask for help with my charging issues. I found the asp pulley over at thunder racing. I got really conufused when I saw all the extra belts and crap too buy. What exactly do i need to get on this page? http://www.lmperformance.com/599/1.html
