No sense in guessing, there are too many variables. AutoZone scans codes for free. If your not close to one, post in your local forum. Someone close to you might have one and be willing to scan it for you. I have a scanner and scan friends & board members all the time.

you need to get the code scanned first, might be something unrelated to the headers.
If its code P0420, or P0430 then the 02 sims just arent doing thier job. The best way to elimenate those codes is to have them tuned out completely with tuning software.

Mines been goin off and on for the past year. It just went off and seems to running really strong now. It could also be a cat because I had mine scanned last year and it was an o2 and a cat code. They reset it and didn't come on for a few hundred miles then went back out.

I had a horrible cat in my car. Like peices of the honey comb fell out of it. Like sand. lol.
I got such and increase in power and mpg after installing headers and getting my rear o2 deleted.
