I just put a poly insert from Energy Susp. in my driver's side mount and I'll be damned if I can figure out where/why you guys used a spacer. Mine fit right into the clamshell, snug as a bug. Everything lined up beautifully. Oh well, I guess I'm just lucky. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

The spacers are not for the insert/clamshell, its for the whole mount as the bolt goes through it mounting it to the chassis. If you looked at the poly mount, it was about 1/4"-3/8" narrower than the rubber mount. The spacers take up the slack, so the motor doesn't move along the long bolt.
