Default Need help with Bassani y-pipe setup (w/cats)

I bought the Bassani high flow cats and stainless y-pipe setup a while back used on here. I finally got around to installing it last night and had a ton of problems lining up the driver side pipe to the y-pipe. It won't go all the way in. It doesn't leak, but its pushing my Corsa catback out the back too far now. Any suggestions on how to get this thing is better? Does anyone else have this setup? (stock manifolds). Its a 99Z.

Is it flared down (or open) at all to fit into or over the pipes? If so, is it flared enough? Might want to try flaring it more or bending it in a bit to get it to fit.

If not, you can always cut just a bit off the pipe to shorten the whole thing and make it work, but I wouldn't reccomend that. It should probably fit as is, but there's just something holding it back from doing so.
