Default Wisper Lid Install on a 2000 Z28

Hey guys!
just a question. I bought a Wisper Lid recently and the people at Thunderracing said i need a breather filter to install the lid in my 2000 Z28. I want to know if this is neccesay. Any input will be appreciated. (apparently some thing about a hose i am not quite sure )

I think that only applies to '01-02's. I know for sure '98's & '99's don't have the breather filter.

Yes, you will need a filter for the AIR hose for your '00 Z28. ThunderRacing is correct. That hose plugs into your factory air box. It pumps air into your cats. Just emissions <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> . The filter plugs into that since aftermarket lids (except SLP's) don't have that hole for the AIR hose.
