Cylinder #8 misfire after B1 cam install, please help!
Hi Guys,
My brother's 99 TA has 64K miles and we changed the plugs 1 month to NGK TR-55's gapped @ .055 and changed the fuel filter as well. I had a MTI B1 cam put in it 221/221 .558/.558 114lsa and brand new 2002 LS6 cam springs with stock retainers and stock pushrods and it has a P0308 cylinder 8 misfire code now. I know cams usually cause a P0300 random misfire code but this one is specific to one cylinder.
Any ideas on what to look for guys?
Thanks

Plug wire not all the way on, junk plugs, and the normal misfire code for that B1 cam. Back int he day they threw codes all the time.

So the B1 cam is known for throwing actual cylinder misfire codes pertaining to certain cylinders?
