Default Ign Coils

Do the stock 6.0 chevy truck coils put out more spark than my 98 LS1 coils?

No idea. But your stock LS1 coils should be just fine for most anybody's setup.

Yes they do put out more spark, as do any of the other "truck" coils. They will not work as a plug-n-play with our cars however.

why not? my 6.0 coils came with the engine and i've got an f-body harness. tell me what i dont know or haven't checked yet. is it just the plugs and sockets? plan on sending out the harness for my conversion anyway.

I'm not positive, but I think the plugs (weathertights where the harness plugs into coils) might be different or something. Some guy had posted about using them, but it wouldn't work. Do a search for truck coils or something to that nature.

The 4 pin connector that plugs into the truck coil is different than the LS1 style coils. The coils also use a different bracket I believe, although the valve covers are interchangeable.

i've got the coil harness too, so my only concern is the one plug on each side between the truck coil harness and the engine harness. p.s. there are more mounting bosses on the truck valve covers than the cars.
