slick50 spray works well
but wd does work very well too.
Phil, make sure you crimped the wires GOOD. I used a vice crimp tool and it would not hold. Ended up using hand crimpers and pliers to get mine to crimp good.
Oh and use a pair of rubber/latex gloves, helps with not loosing grip when you lube the boot up.

I used a set of flat nose pliers and then a crimp tool.
take the flat nose pliers and bend the "hook" on the "U" shaped thing (no idea what its called) down a little more, then put the wire in with the center folded back in and crimp....
