Default belts?

ive search but cant find what im looking for.

today upon looking for symptoms for vibration. i found that my ac belt has wear on one edge of the belt ( towards front of car). my question is i want to change this asap with a gatorback. and what would cause this to get ate up this way. the other belt is fine. could the crank be the culprit?

thanks

The belt is probably just old. Make sure the a/c idler pulley, a/c tensioner, and tensioner pulley are all in good condition before you put the new one on. If it's worn down, one of those, or the crank pulley, should have a spot easy to identify.

You have a shot bearing in an idler somewhere most likely.

Don't re-use the crank bolt unless you have an non-torque to yield one.

im not taking off the crank bolt. im just replacing the belts. just wondering if the crank being out of balnce can cuase the ac belt to be chewed up
