Default new electric water pump

has anybody tried these on an ls1 yet? only 5lbs and 55gpm, would need to retrofit to the old pump and or remove the internals so it dosent use belt power I guess...

I bet that it does have an idler that goes with it. I think that is what is on the back of it actually. Just a free floating pulley with effortless spin.

But then again who knows. Vague descriptions suck.

$100 more and you get an LS1 specific pump. That one looks like a generic inline kind of pump. It can be used as a "booster pump", so I doubt it'll have anything for our cars. Gutting the stock pump and turning it into a "fitting" for pulling water out, along with using this pump, would probably weigh more than the stock pump anyway.

I'll stick with the Meziere.

That pump goes inline of your radiator hose. It is a generic "fit all" pump. For not much more, you can have the whole billet aluminum meziere that is designed for our cars.
