Default Yet Another Cut-Out Question....

If I get a FlowTech cutout, does it have to be welded in or can I put clamps on it? I am asking because the ad says 'slipfit' and I would rather just have it clamped on so if need be, I can replace it with a regular section of pipe if warranty work needs to be done.

Any pros/cons to having it clamped on or should I just pay the money to have it welded on? Also if I put it on after the Y-pipe but before the muffler on my truck, will I see at least a tenth of a gain?
