Do I have an intake or an exhaust leak???
When Ataping my car, my LTFT bank 2 is a lot higher +15 of bank one. From what I have gathered, this is probably because of a leak, causing the car to be real lean on that side....Is this right, and how can I best go about diagnosing the problem. Thanks.
I just did heads/cam, and added headers and an LS6 intake.

Re: Do I have an intake or an exhaust leak???
this is old school technology, but always seemed to work.
when checking for an intake leak I would spray something like chemtool or wd40 around anyplace that might leak. an unlit propane torch or acetylene works to. just be sure you have a fire extinguisher handy in the event something ignites.
listen for a noticeble rise in rpm's while checking for the leaks. if rpm's jump up, there is the leak.
for exhaust leaks, take some shop rags and have a friend mash em into the ends of your tailpipes and listen to the entire exhaust system. leaks become self evident under high pressure.
good luck.

Re: Do I have an intake or an exhaust leak???
If your ltrims are that much different on different banks then it is more then likely an exhaust leak. Do you hear any kind of exhaust leak noises when the car is on, i.e. a ticking noise coming from under the car. The leak would have to be upstream of the front 02 sensor or just slightly downstream of it which will cause excess oxygen to get to the sensor making the computer thinking it is lean on the one side and causing the computer to compensate for it by dumping in excess fuel (i.e. +15). Also are you running cats because if you aren't I would imagine that your car probably smells like gas. Are you getting any codes as it might be a faulty o2 sensor also.

Nope no codes, I am not running cats, I just took them off.....
heh, any ticking noises, I just converted to a solid roller cam, so ya I got a lot of ticking noises.....
I got to try all of these things, and try to diagnose this one. Hopefully once I get this fixed my other problems will go away....

Hell, my hydraulic is noisy enough, I can't imagine what the solid sounds like TICKIDYTICKIDYTICKIDY. You might still be able to hear the noise, and if not look under your car when you fire it up and it is dreary or foggy outside. If you see foggy stuff coming out from any where on the exhaust (like it would your tail pipe) then you found your leak.

Re: Do I have an intake or an exhaust leak???
Hmm, I am running through things in my mind, and I think it is going to come down to 2 things, I don't think it is an exhaust leak, I checked for those, but the intake leak or bad injector, do seem to be a good possibility. I will probably be diagnosing tomorrow night, so hopefully it turns out well.
