Cut-Out input needed!!
1)I am ready to order cutout. What size do I need - 2 1/2", 2 1/4" or 3".
2)Also, I'm not sure I need electric or not. It will be just for fun, not for racing. Can I order cut-out now and install electric part later if I want?
3)Can I put the electric controller part on myself?
4) Where is best place to get cut-out and controller?
Input would be greatly appreciated.

2) Yes you can add an electric cutout later. The QTP cutouts come with the "weld on part", but the McCord power plates from BYUNSpeed don't. Do a search on electric cutouts and you can decide which you'd rather go with.
3) You can put it on yourself, but most come with the wiring harness/switch/LED indicator already wired up.
4)See above. BYUNSpeed or Quicktime, both sponsors. There may be others as well.

not sure what it looks like under an Fbody. .just make sure you leave room on your install to add electric ones later on.. just a thought.

If you look at the cut-out FAQ, you'll see pictures of them installed. Behind the rear floorboard, but before the rear passenger seat "dip" is a spot that almost looks like it's made for a cutout.

i have the qtp and like it. I drilled a hole big enough for the lever on the control switch in my ashtray and monted the control underneath, so now when i flip open my ashtray i have the switch right there.

Good input. Thank you. I am not sure which one to get. I think the MCCORD one seems to be the best deal, seeing they have free shipping right now. Might as well get the electric and see what happens. Thanks guys.

I hardly ever close mine as it is. Only if I'm around law enforcement and if its raining. Dont know why I do when its raining, it does nothing but maybe make me feel a little better.

Order $25 3" cutout from SUMMIT today. I will mess with the electric part later. Just in a hurry to put it on. If it sounds ok, then I will probably do the electric thing. Thanks for the help guys.
