Default Re: 02 simms

The simms take the place of the post catalytic converter oxygen sensors. They have a four wire plug that plugs into the factory harness (just like the sensor) These wires lead into a sealed box of circuitry that "simulates" the functions of the oxygen sensors. This allows you to hollow out the converters or install an offroad pipe without setting codes in the computer. I just installed some on my car. They work great so far. I work at a dealership, so I had kept a couple of bad sensors that I had replaced previously and installed those back into the sensor holes after cutting off the sensor ends (less exhaust blockage). I left the wiring pigtails on them and wire tied them to the harness under the car so it really looks like I'm still using sensors but I'm not.
