Default anyone noticed ?

Has anyone tried bolting an alternator directly to the block? It fits right where the F body bracket would put it. The Pulley then is lined up with the rear Fbody balancer pulley.( instead of the front pulley) The belt would be interesting. maybe a 34" 3 Groove..
Thoughts?

That might work, but it wouldn't help anything. Another problem then is if you loose EITHER belt, you're car is going to stop running.
