Do some searches on it. I was considering the same thing until I heard that it would suck in all the hot air from the engine. There is really no cold air ramming into the engine like the lid. Also the gains people got from the fipk were with the hood open. They went down alot with the closed. I finally decided on the Fast Toys Ram Air and I am recieving my Texas Speed and performance lid today. If it doesnt rain Im going to the track tomorrow to see what I gain from my FTRA and lid. Ill post some results. Just my thoughts.....hopefully the track results will be good.

I have the FIPK and I love it. Of course I made a slight modification to my hood to let cold air in. Want to see pics? give me your email addy and I'll send them. Very easy to do and effective.

I started out with the FIPK and sold it to go with a lid/FTRA setup. It might be in my head but I'd swear that the lid/FTRA setup makes more power.

you can do the free ram air mod with the FIPK to get cold air to the filter..

the filter itself flows better than the flat filter.

there is no doubt in my mind that once you get cold air to the FIPK that it will perform better than a lid type setup.
