Default Throttle Body Cable ????

I have a 2000 Trans Am with Traction Control. I recently installed an intake and throttle body. When the gas pedal it depressed the throttle blade opens about 2 inches.

I adjusted the throttle cable through the clip but, still no better. Any ideas to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the linkage from the pedal to the Cruize box won't spin the wheel enough to pull the blad back.

What year car did the throttle body come out of? You may need to swap the shaft/cam with your old one.

Good idea. How does the cam come out? I am not sure on the year but I figured if it was a 98-99 I would have to lengthen my cable seeing that my car is a 2000. It shocked me that is was so loose.

The 98-99's have a SMALLER cam, so it sounds like this might be the problem if the cable is loose.

All you do is unscrew the blade, slide the cam/shaft out, put the new one in along with the spring that probably flew out, then slide it back in. Put a little blue loctite on the blade screws so they don't get sucked in.
