Painted vs ceramic coated
ok i was getting ready to order my pacesetters tonite and i was just wondering whats the ups and downs of having painted or ceramic coated headers?
now is there a hp/tq gain by running ceramic than running painted?
how many of you guys are running ither?
and just one more question will i have to jack up my motor to get the headers in, or anything major i should know so when i put them on i how what i should do instead of getting under there and just thinking they will slide right up into place with no problems.

It is waaaaay to cheap not to run the ceramic coated ones. There are a calculated metric ****-ton of people on here that run them.
They:
A. Look nice
B. Are Ceramic coated
C. Cost right in the $400.00 range
D. Almost every sponsor on here carries them or can get them.
E. Still look good
F. Your a gimp if you don't get them

It's really not much of a question in my mind...if you want to mod the car, you might as well spend the money to get something for the long haul...if you got the painted you'll be wishing you spent the extra few dollars on the ceramics.

Oh...My pacesetters slid right in (we had to loosen the steering knuckle)...it was very easy...but for the love of all that's good in humanity...get some poly motor mounts!! My stock motor mounts are about to cause me to get new headers due to clutch chatter (and I've only had the headers on for a week!)

I have painted some MACs and had god luck with durability. But, I live in a dry climate, for the most part, and am not exposed to salty roads. I would definately coat headers if money permitted first though. It looks better and would retain heat more.
