Default recharging AC, how many #'s?

Going to recharge my AC at work, and wanted to see if anyone knew the exact amount of freon that needs to be put into the system?

The sticker is on the stock lid. It's 1.5lbs.

1.5 lbs if it's completely evacuated and vacuumed - but I'd still charge it by the low side pressure.

radz - is yours completely empty? You can buy a recharge kit with a guage if it's just low.

Easiest way to tell if its low is to use a manifold gauge set. Harbor freight sells them for pretty cheap

I see signs all over Jax offering "Free A/C Check" from Goodyear, Jiffy Lube, etc. If your town is the same have them put guages on it, if it's low you can say "thanks" and buy a recharge kit and do it yourself, or let them do it (don't know what they'd charge you though). What kind of temps you getting out of the center vents?
