LQ9 ex manifold vs LS1 camaro ex manifolds I am putting an LQ9 engine in a 1976 Trans Am. The exhaust manifolds from the LQ9 engine are too wide for the frame. Do the camaro manifolds sit closer to the engine? It is close now. If there was 1/2" more clearance on each side they would fit. What is the distance from the gasket face to the outer exhaust flange? Also, does anyone know which headers would be good for this install?
