Default XS Driver Side LT Wont Fit :(

Just my luck... this damn thing wont go in. I've tinkered with it for about a half hour and heres what I've done. Tried without lifting the motor and of course it hit that assembley line tab on the motor, that everyone cuts off. It's also hitting a few other things. Second I lifted the motor about 1/2" approxamently and the header cleared that tap but now the motor mount wont let the header slide any more forward. The header also can't go up as the #7 primary is hitting the firewall. Sometimes the steering column comes into play but not all the time. Just can't get this damn thing in there
Passenger side went in like a glove though

Should I lower the engine and cut that tab off and see if it will work with the engine lowered?

I lopped off that tab on mine and my driver side pacesetter slid in easier than the pass. side. Good luck!

ok nevermind... cut that tab off, took less time doing that than i takes me to finish taking a ****... but eitherways driver side slide in like a glove after that... great headers here and recommend them anyone to who needs stainless and is on a budget. maybe some of our sponsors can buy mass quanities and give the people some quality yet cheap

Those headers are great arent they? I am predicting that if they make a race style that they will be the next pacesetters. Bye the way I had to do the exact same thing with my drivers side, except my mechanic used a torch to bend the primary a little. (mabye they need to fix that too)

I had to cut that tab off too and it went right in. What is with everybody and the "race style"? it took me like 5 minutes to make some blockoff plates.

Race style look nicer IMO and you don't have to worry about making any block-off plates. It may only take 5 minutes, but one less thing to worry about.
