Default 2 Catch Can Concerns

Just installed a catch can today but I have two concerns/questions:

1. I used clear tubing so I could see if it was working (I read that a lot of people used clear) but is the tubing going to melt?

2. I cant tell if the new setup is has a vacuum leak or not but if it did how would it affect the car (aka what problems would it cause)?

Sorry for being a newb but just wanted to inquire and learn more about them! Thanks in advance!

my clear tubing didn't melt when i was using it on mine, but some others on here weren't that lucky

use zip ties on your connections to eliminate possibility of a vacuum leak

Your Walmart catch can should include Home Depot or some ACE hardware as well. Most catch cans come with their own hose but since you went the cheap route stay on course and hit up your local hardware store and ask for some high temp hose. Let em know what size and how much you need. Mickey Mouse stuff.
