Default LS6 Intake - Surge in idle! Help!

Ever since I've had my LS6 intake put on my car it's idled at 900 RPM and surged up to 1100 and then down to 900 and back to 1100 until I take off in to Drive. I was told that I need an oil catch can to stop the oil from leaking in to the intake and then into the engine. Is that what could be causing the idle surge? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I doubt that oil is causing the idle surge. Sounds more like an intake leak. You may have to pull the intake back off and reinstall making sure you torque the bolts in the correct sequence.
