Slower after LT install?
I still dont have my Xpipe on.. just open headers with a some piping after the collector.
My car feels slower than before?... is it my imagination or do i just need a tune really badly?

Its because your cam is designed to have back pressure to run correctly, since you running open headers theres no back pressure, get your full exhaust system on and run it then, also a tune might be in order to adjust the fuel mixture. our cars run really rich when lt's are installed

It is not unusual for the car to feel slower with open headers (even if it isn't really) - it makes so much noise that you think it should be going faster. It might really be slower because of A/F changes but probably not - a dyno or track run is the only way to tell for sure.

Thanks ya'll.
I have another concern.. im afraid my Dynomax bullets might be too loud.. so im thinking about moroso spiral flows.. will i lose much with them instead of dynomax and how much quieter will it be.
I still want to turn heads and scare competition but i want to do it when im near them not three streets away.

Once you get the rest of your exhaust on, the computer still needs to adjust to whats happening. Don't floor your car right when it's done and think that's how it runs. When I first went WOT on the car after longtubes + true duals, it was slower then before, but after putting some miles on it the computer adjusted itself and the car ran much better.

Yeah ive only put about 8-10 miles on it with the open headers so far but once the true duals are on im back to daily driving it until the bad weather sets in. Then next month I'll get the over the axle out the back setup with a tune.

I thought I was going nuts after my LT and TD install because my car felt slower too. Also did a SLP lid, SLP CAI and a tune up at the same time with Taylor Spiro Pro's and NGK's but the car really woke up above 3k, the car ended up running 7 tenths faster and +6mph in the quarter even though it felt slower, still waiting to get money to tune it. As for losing power with the spiral flows I have no clue, never had the dynomax's but here is a video of my car with the spiral flows for you to compare the sound of the dynomax's to:
