Make sure you place the Cats AFTER the crossover pipe, if possible!
They wont cut back on sound as much if you place them after the X or H.....which ever you go with.

Harry Houdini couldn't put cats after the x-pipe on an f-body, and it would be a redonkulous idea anyway.

The cats need to be HOT to work, or they will foul.

Im curious to know what you would consider loud? Im in the process of have true duals installed with cats and am hoping its not too quiet. How is it compared to SLP loudmouth, dumped duals etc...

loud is perfectly what i have now... LT's true dual X pipe and dynomax race bullets dumped...

my dual with cats quited it down about 1/8th to a 1/4 and was maybe a touch louder than my y-pipe dumped with a loudmouth resonator (but I also didn't have heads and cam during that time too )

I'd like to do it, i guess the fine for no cats where I'm from is recockulous.
And I don't like smelling like eau de 92octane when I get done with a cruise.

Lets put it this way my exhaust, just a flowmaster catback and the rest of the exhaust stock, was just as loud and sounded much better than my duals with cats and bullets dumped. I will be selling or gutting the cats ASAP. It is much too quiet for my taste.

Once you fire an LS1 up open header, any other type of exhaust is quiet
