Default Exhaust Question

i have 3 inch tsp true dual with x-pipe. the problem is it hangs too low. so im thinking of ditching the expipe and just running bulleted mufflers off the headers without a mid pipe. will i lose any power or torque?

I wouldn't run mufflers straight off of the headers on any car. First of all, all the exhaust fumes are going to float up into the car. Not only is that smelly and dangerous, but it won't pass inspection.

Second of all, you would lose torque and it would probably sound very bad. It would sound like open headers...only quieter. The car would lose a lot of low end power too.

I doubt you want to spend 1K on another exhaust, but the Bassani TD system routes though the same area as the stock Y-pipe system, which means no ground clearance issues

Won't 'loose' torque. It'll shift higher in the RPM range, so you'll feel slower at street rpm.

There's a reason a lot of true drag cars run open headers
