Default o2 sensor question

This morning i was driving my car when it started to misfire alot. it threw a code and i went to get it checked at autozone. they told me i had a bad o2 sensor and multiple cylinder misfires. Does a bad o2 cause the multiple cylinder misfires or do i need to check all the plugs and wires?

If the coded indicates a spoecific cylinder, then check the plug and wire for that cylinder, otherwise the bad o2 sensor can cause random missfires, but I'd check the plugs and wires anyway, especially if the headers are a recent install

yea, id get the code number and take it from their, I used to work at advanced auto, and those code readers are VERY universal and broad, they dont tell you exactly what you need, although some of the people their think they know it all, dont listen to them, get the code number and seach online and you will find what it is
