Corsa exhaust...looking for a mean sound so what is the next step
I installed corsa exhaust on my 02' WS6 last week. I love it, but its not quite as loud and aggressive as i am looking for. I want to have a nice powerful sounding car so im looking for some help on what to get.
...as of right now i am looking at getting the Jet Hot long tube headers and the ypipe that you can buy with that.... and maybe a QTP electric cutout for when i want to really make some noise...if i could get some feed back on this set up it would be sweet.
basically im just looking for headers and a ypipe that will wake this corsa system up a little so im open to any ideas.
trying to figure out what to get has been hard so far
thanks for the help

on stock manifolds with cats, a cutout will wake it up nicely. i was in the same boat as you. i have a corsa and i like it, but it's too quiet unless you get on it, and i don't like having to beat the crap outta my car to get it to make noise. so i put on a cutout, and honestly, with stock manifolds and cats, it sounds damn good for straight pipe. i think this is because the cutout doesn't flow 100% of the exhaust out of it so my muffler is still being used. it's something like the cutout gets 75% of it, i'm guessing by sound. 75% of the noise from the cutout paired with the 25% of the noise from the corsa muffler sounds very pleasing. the nice thing about a cutout on stock manifolds and cats - you can leave it open all the time and not get sick of it. it's not unbearably loud ever and even crusing at 60 mph, it's not too bad inside. it's a little bothersome with the windows up but with the windows down you can't even hear it.
LT's will wake up the corsa nicely, but be advised, GET A CATTED Y-PIPE. running no cats with corsa will turn your unique sound into raspy, gurgly, toneless ****. corsa can't get away with an ORY like some quieter systems can (SLP dual/dual, magnaflow, hooker).

thanks for the feedback..... haha yea i basically have to get on it to hear what the corsa is packing.
So you think the jet hot headers and the catted ypipe will sound pretty good? even with a QTP electric cut out?

If you want louder, don't mess around...get long tubes. I have lt's, ORY, corsa, and I love the sound. Quiet when I'm cruising around, but when I hammer it down it unleashes hell !
As for longtubes, pacesetters are a helluva deal...good fitment and a cheap price. If you are looking for stainless check out QTP's or Kooks...great quality and fitment.

I went to LTs and catted Y with my Corsa. It did make it a lot more aggressive sounding but still relatively quite at idle/light throttle. I've had lots of complements on the sound. Then I cammed it and that amplified the sound a lot. Sounds like you may want a cut-out too though.

Long tubes! I would keep cats but thats mean no hassels no smell and with good cats on bolt on cars no loss or one so little you won't know.
Headers make the most noise when on it and and still are kinda tamish but grumblier *if thats a word* when idle/light throttle.
