Throttle Body question??

Throttle Body question?? I know i guy who rebuilds throttle body's for Lt1 and can bore them to 54mm. I know most of the aftermarket TB are 52, he said 54 will perform without a problem, i dont see why not either its not that much more (but i also know hes tryin to sell his product).......but does anybody know different????
