!muffler w/ tailpipes vs. !muffler turned down
aight i LOVE the way my !muffler sounds (stock manis, y-pipe, and no muffler), but i hate the look of my tailpipes and am gonna ditch them today or tomorrow.
just wondering what sound difference there would be w/o the tailpipes and just having the exhaust dumped straight down after the axle. i want the deep sound of a turn down, but dont want this to make be deaf cruising down the interstate.
so should i leave it turned down after the axle, or go for the "tru" turndown spot right before the axle?

I cut the muffler off my car right after the axle, so the pipe was facing the drivers side of the car, right before the muffler. I had stock manifolds, y pipe, and cats. I didn't like it, too loud and not very crisp at all. I just did it as an experiment, welded on a new muffler a few days later. Sounds might be more managable if you put a turn down on it
