Default LS1 exhaust diagram (or good under car pic) for help on setup.

For a couple reasons I don't want my car to be loud all the time. I am most likely going to go with an electronic cutout. I would like to keep cats on my car so it doesn't smell like crap. My vision is to go with coated pacesetter LT's, pacesetter y-pipe, 3" QTP cutout, and hooker muffler (3" inlet and two 2.5" outlets). My question is, can I run this setup w/ cats? where do the cats go? As you can tell i dont fully understand the setup of the ls1 exhaust and a diagram would help me a lot. Also, will the stock catback (except muffler) hurt me that much in terms of HP/TQ gains. Will my car be much louder with the cutout closed from just switching to some high flow cats and the hooker muffler? Thanks for any help.
Matt

You get pacesetter long tubes with their catted y-pipe (or Texas-Speed Catted y-pipe). Then the cutout will be placed on the intermediate pipe right before the rear passanger seat.
