Default SLP Air Lid Fitment

OK, so got the new lid installed last night, but the metal clasp on one side doesn't latch down tight. it was a bitch and a half getting the four tabs on the lid to fit into the slots on the radiator bracket, and then getting the lid to fit over the filter. anyone else have these issues? is the front lip of the slp lid supposed to fit inside the lower shell of the air box? or is it supposed to overhang? thanks guys!

The front lip in the center is supposed to be inside the air box. Outside of the clamps can overhang. Here is a pic of the lower air box lip coming from underneath. It's contoured by the clips so that outside the clips it will overhand. You can put a little pressure on the back of it to get it into all 4 slots. It's a well made piece, it won't break or anything.

perfect! that answers my question exactly...i had it like that initially, and the clamps fit snug, but wasn't sure if that was correct or not. thanks!!
