Default cat question

don't laugh cause i don't know, hence the reason i'm asking. if i have lgmotorsports install a hot cam heads and intake with longtubes, will taking the cats off set off my check engine light and if it will, what kind of cats should be put on?

yes it will set a ses light b/c the rear o2 sensors are sensing too much flow, just leave the cats off and get an o2 sims and your light will not come back on.

Just a thought...since you are having all this work done at a shop, and a tune is probably going to be required anyways, just have them tune out the rear O2's while they are at it. It'll save you on the cost of the simms, and you won't have to worry about them ever going out.
