Default header wrap on s/s

anyone wrapped there kooks headers ? or other stainless headers, i had to cut the heat tape off my starter/ground wires to reroute after the ac was installed with the fusebox wires below the lines instead of above.. andvanced auto didnt have any heat tape so i got header wrap, any positive effects of install the header wrap (in car) for the hassle involved?

it's gonna be a bitch wrapping them installed... but honestly stainless isn't meant to be covered up although it will more than likely absorb (some) heat... but coating would be a better option

well considering i need the manifold off and to jack the engine up to even get the driver side out i think im gonna leave them in, and alone.

i'll just wrap the wires with the wrap then , i didnt want to hafto buy 3 rolls at 45$ a pop anyway.
