Unplug the spark plug wires, unplug the coil pack harness plugs from each side, then undo the bolts with a 10mm socket. Be careful not to drop the bolts, because they will diss-a-freakin-peer....

If you're removing the valve covers, I usually remove my whole driver side with the coils still on. I then remove the last two on the passenger side and get the bolts out of that valve cover.

98s are a pain cuz they dont all sit on a rail. Just curious, is there any reason you couldn't get the rails from the 99+ and use them on a 98?

the way the 98 coil packs are mounted, is that they are individually bolted onto the valve cover. The reason that you couldnt bolt then to the rails from the 99 plus is because they are mounted to center bolt valve covers on 99 up and on the 98's they have perimeter bolt valve covers. hope this helps.
