Default Catch Can

Ok, for some reason i can not grasp on how to put the damn thing together. I alredy used the search and no one realyl explained on how to install it..

FWIW i will be using 2 of the seperators just to make sure i catch it all.. With that said. can someone guide me on how to put it together? Step by step would be great..

Also, if you have oil in the intake already, can you remomve it or does it need to stay in there? I do not plan on pullind the intake off....

Thanks for all your help

-Jonas

EDIT: bought all the parts today.. So i need help installing it tomorrow..

Yeah, let us know which catch can you have and what part of it isn't making sense and then I can help you out. I just did mine last weekend. After taking a look at everything for about 15 minutes and pulling some stuff apart, it made more sense. Lemme know.

If You have filters+ the depot catch can, place them after the catch can.

I went and looked at some pics of the two filter setup and it looks like people just ziptie it the a/c drier. Pull the PCV valve out of the rubber piece that runs into the side of the intake manifold. Take the hose you bought and attach it to the end of the PCV valve and the run the other end to your filters. The outlet of the filters should have a hose running from it to where the PCV valve used to be plugged into. You have to have a straight barbed hose connector for it to work though. 3/8" if I remember correctly.

*edit* oh yeah I forgot about the catch can being separate on that setup.

I just re-read your last post, do you even know where the PCV valve is located?

No, not to sure the PCV valve is at.

And i got the 2 clear husky air seperators for the "catch can" portion.

Look on the front of the pass. side valve cover for a hose that goes into the manifold directly behind the TB, pretty much at the very front of the valve cover is where the valve isyou'll see it, it is where the hose gets kind of fat. Just be carefull because the hose, or line, to the back of the engine from the valve itself is platic and could crack. I would take a pic but my car is 2 states away from me under a cover in my parents garage.

i do not need a piece of hose between the two filters right? All you need is the connector to connect them together. And yes i got both male ends with the barbs.. and 3/8" hosing

I don't have that setup so as far as connecting the two filters together goes, I couldn't tell ya. But other than that, you just gotta start taking a look at where we told you on the intake manifold. I promise it will make more sense as soon as you find the PCV. Passenger side of the intake manifold right behind the throttle body.
