Lid/Trap speed/Dyno
Does anyone have a before/after track pass in similar weather that shows the increase in trap speed a lid GAVE YOU? Anyone with dyno numbers?
Sorry, I am trying to keep excited about getting my first mod. I am not being able to shell out $100 as soon as I would like due to having to do other things maintenance related and figure I would gather info on its hard gains in the mean time.

mine made a decent difference but hey,100 bucks for atleast 5 rw,that is a bargain. i dynoed 319 rwhp,34x rwtq lid only and the car trapped 88.8x mph in the 1/8th.best mod when i was lid only was a set or tr6 plugs and a nx 150 wet shot that gained exactly 150 rw.

Bone stock lid
308ft/lb 295HP
No lid (still had the air silencer on)
315ft/lb 298HP (gain across whole torque/hp curve, not only peak)
SLP lid
LS7 Clutch (9lb additional rotational weight, -hp, -torque that you can feel)
LS6 Intake
325ft/lb 306HP (gain across whole power band)
308->325 Net gain of 17ft/lb, 295->306 Net gain of 11HP
To gain HP and torque despite adding 9lb of rotational weight lends a lot to the combined gains of the intake and lid. I think the no lid dyno is what really shows how restrictive the stock lid actually is. Help the LS1 breath, get it a lid.

When I got my direct flo lid...I could feel the difference up top.
I ran a buddy after putting it on and could definitely tell the faster I went.
I believe I picked up almost 1 mph
