160* thermo...good idea?
is it a good idea to put a 160* thermostat in my car? i have full bolt ons but i was wondering how the motor would react to running at a lower temps.

Well, just to mix it up a little. Some of the posts I read in your link refer to the 160 making a difference in a significantly modifed vehicle. Would that include a big cam like the MS3? Or with the stock block and heads you would still be better off with the factory temp?

i know this isnt any real help, but the 160 stat's are put in to make the engine cooler, meaning more hp....but the stocker's are there for emmisions, a hotter engine is more effeiceint at creating less emmisions than a 160 stat. since i know no one here cares about emmisions (me neither lol) i was just wanting to share that info for a FYI
