Default GMPP Valve Covers fit stock filler neck

Does anyone know if the stock oil filler neck will work in these valve covers:


I'm trying to figure out how to use these with an oil filler cap instead of a breather. The only other option would be to have a weld-in filler neck and cap installed, like:

wy not dicth the whole PCV junk off the car and just put the breather on and call it a day? be a perfect reason to buy those valve covers IMO

I want to keep the PCV provision. No good reason to get rid of it. A well functioning PCV system is worth a smidgen of power and it keeps the engine compartment from being sprayed with oil from a breather.
