Default K and N filter

I have a 2000 m6 stock ss camaro and i wanted to put a kand n air filter in the car for now but in the future i was looking at getting an air lid would i need to change the k and n filter again? i just didnt want to waste my money by getting the air filter now...

Nope, It will use the same filter. I've got a Whisper lid 4-sale 50 bucks shipped.

Buying a K&N is a waste of money to begin with. Stick with paper.

It may flow better, and get you like .5HP, but it lets more crap pass through it into your engine.

The only non stock thing that came with my car (years ago) was a K&N filter. I ended up throwing it away.
