i just wanted to know what shops usually charge to install headers and true dual on a 98 trans am

Depends on where you go, where you live and what will be involved. Will make a big difference if you are supplying parts or only some of the parts as well. Your best bet is to call around to places that are close to you. You dont list where you live so its hard to help you out.....

i live san jose, CA bay area and yes im supplying all the parts i also called around and they said 450-500 i just want to know if im getting ripped off or is it a good deal

I called around northern SD, and riverside areas for a buddy of mine a few months back... the average price for a header swap was like 700. For a shop to put on true duals I wouldn't spend over 150.. If you got quoted 450-500 for both headers and exhaust that sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Instead of going with a shop, check out the regional threads at the bottom of the main page. You may find someone in your area willing to do a header swap for you.
