Default cat with AIR or without

im looking into headers with a catted y and is it better to keep the air system for the cats sake or does it not matter?

It doesn't make a difference. Ditch the AIR, it sucks. when pump is on, it sucks the air out of your air box, taking away from your engine. less weight cleans up engine bay .. Less to move and deal with when doing headers/ doing anything ..

I think the consensus is that the cats will get hot enough soon enough to burn off any residue, so the air isn't really required for the "health" of the cats.
