Default Cut out pipe size question / help

Ok guys so i went outside and measured my exhaust pipe. It measures about 9 inches around. So from that i calculated the diameter to be 2.86. Well this brings be to my question. Do i buy the 3 inch or the 2.5 ? I guess the 3 inch. Its an awful weird pipe size. Some one help

I dont remember exactly WHY, bu if you notice theres a small section of pipe that I had to add and I think I also had to get it opened with an exhaust pipe machine so it will slip fit a little better. You might be better off with the 3 inch. I do all my own work and Im not exactly rich so before someone starts banging on the funky looking hack job, BLOW me

no worries here man. I ended up going with the 3 inch it makes sense. I do all my own work also. I really cant wait to get it. I am on stock manifolds so it wont be as loud as some of them out their but i really hope it steps it up a bit.

Yeah I was on manifolds with just the cutout for almost a year. It's a lot louder than stock, don't worry about that. I think you'll like it
